The problem I have with the presentation of”plus-sized”* models

and many blogs that showcase “plus-sized women” (i.e vaguely voluptuous cis white women) is that the people who run them seem to think that the only figure that fits the bill of “curvy” is large breasts, a small waist, large hips and thighs and a completely, totally flat stomach.
Now, every single body is different. I totally understand that some people with 40” hips will be rocking a D cup and washboard abs, but in my experience, that is the exception rather than the norm. There is a huge amount of photoshopping that goes on in professional modelling and to many amateur photos, and that is no exception when it comes to people of size. But remember, you do not owe anyone a flat stomach, ooodles of cleavage or a small waist, just because you are not thin. 
I want to see more diversity in the presentation of curvaceous, fluffy and fat babes. More fat babes of colour, more trans* babes, more disabled babes. More babes of every shape, colour, gender and size. And I want us all to show off the curves of our tummies, because it is just as sexy and as beautiful and as valid as any other curve we are rocking.

*Please note this is a bullshit term, because plus what size? What does that even MEAN?
